I was recently at a cool garage sale where they were selling old items. Key chains from world war 2, random antique and lots of fishing memorabilia. But when I was looking at the army surplus section, I noticed alot of knives. Swiss army knives to be exact. I looked through about 30 of them, and found probably the biggest one i have ever seen. It had an Allen wrench that was also a mini c clamp. A wrench that came off the knife and of course the signature cork screw opener. I bought it for $7, which I think was reasonable.

Swiss Army knives have plenty of use, from Boy Scouts, to office workers you could all get a use from these knives. Of course they are nothing like that leatherman, but they are more compacts and serve just as many purposes. I love my knew knife, and wouldn’t mind starting a collection of these very cool knives.

So the other night my father, uncle and I were outside standing around at sunset. And if you hunt at all you will know sunset is one of the best times to see wildlife, especially if they roost at night like turkeys. And I was messing around with my wet box, a box call. And the turkeys were going nuts. But when I’m hunting I’m going to need a little bit more variety in my calling line up.

ive heard of people using owl, crow, and even squirrel calls to get turkeys to gobble. But I was looking at maybe buying a slate, or some mouth calls for when the turkeys are in close. Turkey hunting is coming up fast, and I’m gonna need a call soon. My friends dad owns many turkey calls. And he is very experienced. He said that pretty much any call works, just a personal preference.
