Did anyone see this the other night? Verne Troyer was on Raw as the guest host. It was pretty sad if you ask me. It was scary how much bigger the Big Show was compared to him though.
Anyone checked John Morrison out yet? He’s (in my opinion) the best star the WWE has to offer right now. Great Mic skills and his in-ring work is far better then anything in 10 years. If you like wrestling and you haven’t checked him out yet do yourself a favor and watch Smackdown on Friday.
Anyone watch the last WWE Pay per view? The Undertaker is looking old. I can remember the first time I saw a like WWE show. The Undertaker was just breaking out and he was in a program with the Big Bossman. He was still the scary Undertaker. It’s going to be a sad day when he finally retires back stage.
So I’ve finally broken the habit! It’s been about 5 months since I’ve purchased a wrestling PPV and I’m not getting the one this week! I’m excited because at $45 a show I’ve been able to save a lot of money and I really don’t feel like I’ve missed much! I guess I’m finally getting past my wrestling addiction!
Talk about a storyline killer! The WWE started a story line where Vince sold Raw to “The Donald” and then the next week he bought it back and they killed the story line. This is the second time a story line with Donald Trump got short changed. I’m wondering what the deal is! This was a cool story line and it seemed odd that they just axed it like that. They could have picked it back up with JBL buying the brand if Donald Trump decided he couldn’t do the show any longer. Come on Vince, get with the program, you’re show is starting to get stale and just when you get it back on track someone drops the ball!
Okay, so I’ll admit, I’ve strayed away from the WWE but a story line just popped up that caught my attention. Vince is a good friend of Donal Trump and a few years ago Donald Trump even had a story line at Wrestlemania but now he’s purchased WWE Raw and will be running the show! This is great even if it is a work..and it is! Donald as a promoter is a great idea. let’s hope they can start a feud with Raw and Smackdown and get the Monday night war feeling again!
Has anyone been watching the ramp up to Wrestlemania this year. One of the interesting story lines has been the Chris Jericho storyline where he seems to have a dislike for the legends of wrestling. They had a promo last week where he tried to relive the infamous Snuka/Piper confrontation on piper’s pit. The one where piper hit Snuka with a coconut. By the end of the promo the custom exhibit designed to look like the old set of Piper’s pit was destroyed and Snuka was left on the ground again. Only this time, it wasn’t with the coconut. This wrestlemania is shaping up to be a good one for sure! I can’t wait for Smackdown tonight!
I alsomost forgot to mention the Royal Rumble…the road to Wrestlemania. It was a good one and even had a few surprised like RVD coming back for a one time gig. With Randy pulling in the victory in the Rumble it’s obvious that he is quickly becoming the heel face of the WWE for a long time. It seems as though he has cleaned up his outside of the ring image and is becoming a top lvel star for the future. So the new generation of pro wrestling hands its hat on Jon Cena Ans Randy Orton. Interesting for sure! Anyone miss the Rock and Stone Cold era?
