And no one gives a more enjoyable analysis than Gregg Easterbrook, aka the Tuesday Morning Quarterback. I don’t even have to know which players he is specifically talking about, because his analysis is simple and detailed at the same time.

Favre shared with USA Today that he feels he could play until he’s 50. Now, he might be able to play until then, but will he be any good or any kind of difference maker for the team he’s on? I think we all need to take a page from Kenny Rogers’ song “Know when to walk away, and know when to run.” In the case of Favre, he may wait until he can only limp.

This was a great game last night. I can’t even begin to list all the things the Saints did that impressed me. The onside kick to start the second half was pure genius. It was so unexepected and executed perfectly. Or how about that barrel roll reception to get the two point conversion late in the game? Or the one interception that came just at the right moment? This Super Bowl had highlights a plenty. These were the two last undefeated teams late in the season. This was a great foorball year.

Well, the stage is set, the players are positioned. New Orleans is set to play the Indianapolis Colts, the two teams that went the longest with unbeaten streaks this regular season. Who’s your pick? Do you root for the sentimental favorite New Orleans, still recovering from the effect of Katrina, or do you want the Colts, who run with the efficiency of the Patriots but have more character?

Well, here’s an article that discusses the past football weekend and offers some advice for choosing your rooting interest for the Super Bowl. Read TMQ’s article here.

When football is in season, there is one columnist I love reading. Gregg Easterbrook, also known as the Tuesday Morning Quarterback, write for Page 2 on ESPN.com. He recaps the wee’s games and offers insight into why certain teams seem to be flourishing while others are floundering. What I really love are his tangent sections. Every once in a while, he’ll comment on current affairs, astro-physical news, or entertainment in general. He’s a great writer, intelligent, witty, and just fun to read.

So I was a little off. The Eagles fell short and the cards ended up with the win. Kurt Warner looked great and if the Cards are on their game they could give Pittsburgh a run for their money. I usually go with the under dog in these types of games but I think Pittsburgh will run away with it. That defense is just too strong and I don’t think they will have a let down come super Sunday. Along with millions of other people I’ll be squarely interested in the only game in town!

With that in mind, who is having a Superbowl party this year? With the economy down it seems like a lot of people I know are having small parties or are just putting them off all together. I for one will be having a big HD Super Sunday party! It’s only once a year so I shall party on!

We are down to the Steelers, Ravens, Cardinals and Eagles and I have to say that both Championship games look to be great games. Steelers and Ravens will surely be a defensive struggle from the opening kickoff.

My prediction is, Steelers win the game with a score of 2-0 when the Raven’s QB falls down in his own end zone from exhaustion in the 3rd overtime. The Cards and Eagles will be much higher in scoring and I’m going with the Eagles 31 to 24.

Yes, I’m predicting a keystone Super Bowl which would be the first time in the history of the NFL that both teams in the big game hail from the same state!
